I have been admitted to an engineering college in Delhi in the "Applied electronics and Instrumentation" branch. However i am totally unaware of its scope and future prospects. Plz tell me abt this stream of engineering and future prospects.

The demand for Applied Electronics is growing rapidly.
Applied electronics and Instrumentation Engineers design, plan, research, evaluate and test electrical and electronic equipment and systems. They direct or supervise installations, testing, inspection and maintenance activities, and may specialize in areas such as electrical power generation and transmission, communications systems, instrumentation and control systems, computer applications, computer chip design and electronics.
The graduates can work as Manufacturing Engineers in MNCs like Sony, LG, Samsung, Philips, Quality Controller, Research, Design & Development Consultants & Entrepreneurs.
I have decided to go for applied electronics and instrumentation engineering....plz tell me what are the scopes and future prospects of this engineering?
