I am 28 yr old bsc graduate with physics based at Ahemdabad , i want to make my career in the software testing , One institute in the ahemdabad who runs 3 months courses for the same , can i go for this test what is the scope for non it back ground in the software testing.
A: The eligibility for a trainee tester are a Graduation with a good maths and science mark. As a B.Sc graduate you are well positioned to enter career in software testing.
The technical testing skill required are:
- Project life cycle,
- Testing concepts,
- Knowledge of testing types,
- Programming languages familiarity,
- Database concepts,
- Test plan idea,
- Ability to analyze requirements,
- Documentation skill,
- Testing tools
Make sure you learn all the above skills and advanced concepts in your training program along with exposure to real life projects. You can always learn the things if you have interest. You can also grow fast by gaining necessary skills.
The characteristics of a tester can be summed up as a person who is analytical, logical, organized, curious, and pays attention to detail. Such a person is also confident; a team player, able to learn quickly and handle stress, able to meet tight deadlines, and has good communication and interpersonal skills.
