Q: I have done M.Sc. in computer science.now i am 28. i have also done P.G.Diploma in remote sensing and GIS but I am not getting any job.Please suggest me what should I do?
A: You need to do job networking. There are several jobs that are never advertised but filled through referral. Contact alumni, friends, business executives, HR executives etc. Explain what you specifically want, and ask detail-oriented questions. Create a profile in linkedin.com and get recommendation from senior people in the industry. Join IT related yahoo groups and Google groups and obtain e-mail ids of hr executives in targeted industry. Don't stop till you get a good job in your preferred industry.
