You need to have some journalistic background to join any news company.
To get started, you have to look out for openings provided by channels who are always searching for new faces and new talents.
You need to make a resume as well as record yourself in a studio and send that tape or resume to the channels that are looking for talent. And wait for your turn.
Alternatively, you could join radio and get yourself grounded in the fine art of speaking in any of its creative departments, such as news features, current affairs or documentaries. It is easier if you appear personally at any of these places as then the evidence will speak for itself.
