IT field after 8 years

Q: I am a std 10th student. I am planning to do B.Com with 10 2 with maths so that i can opt for MCA.
My question is, what will be the value of MCA after 8 years when i complete it?
What are the other options available in IT field for making a good career??

A: hi,

Different institutes offering MCA degree have different prerequisites for the entrance qualifications.A graduate with 50-60% marks in the last qualifying exam along with Maths at +2 level or/and graduation may apply in majority of institutes is the general eligibility criteria.
but some of the institutes are asking for another subject computer languages also. so you search for the colleges which are taking students from maths background.

future of IT will always be on the top.
As per the proceedings taking place in the software industry the future of the Software Industry looks promising. after 7 or 8 years It is expected that the India Software Industry will generate a total employment of around more than five million people. mba hr

Name: siddharth

Q: m in my T.Y.B. COM now and m planning to pursue my career in MBA-HR. i selected the following subjects-
1.Management accounting I
2.Management accounting II
3.Management accounting III
4.Business Economics

A; Hi you are on right track. Don't worry about subjects and invest your time on CAT/MAT preparation. In your MBA first year you will cover all general management subject then you will choose your HR specialization subjects.

Studying further after 5 years Experience in IT Industry as Developer.

Sender Name: Gautam Shah

Q: I have 5 years of Experience in IT industry as a .NET Developer. I am planning to study forward and want to take up my Career as IT Consultant or Analyst 2 years down the line. Now I have some Certification Options that i can go with but Am confused which one should i take up as a priority

1) PMP (Project Management Professional from PMi institute)
2) ITIL V3 Foundation Certification
3) Information Security Management
4) MBA Degree Correspondence

Please advice me on the same.

A: It depends on the position you aspire to.

Project Managers tend to make more per year than Business Analysts. (It is often the case that Project Managers use Business Analysts on their teams, but not vice versa.). If you want to be a project manager, a PMP certification would be more highly regarded on the resume.

ITIL is the most widely accepted approach to IT service management in the world, with world class practices supported by quality services from a wide range of service providers, consultancies and professional qualifications. You will need to clear expert level exam and gain relevant implementation exposure. If you want to be a consultant in this field there is wide scope abroad.

With a growing demand for professionals possessing IS audit, control and security skills Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) are in demand. You need to clear certification and gain experience in relevant field.

If you want to career in Management, don't go for MBA Degree Correspondence as learning and interaction is very minimal. You can opt for one year executive management program or part time MBA program from reputed institute

B.tech or B.com

Name: rishi

Q: which course offers better placement B.tech or B.com??B.com from SRCC or any such good colege and B.tech from any average college...and also if after both the courses one opt for MBA..will the company which will come for placement will give preference to the B.tech one??pls pls reply to my query as soon as possible I'll be grateful!!

A: As you want to have management career in 3-4 year down the line both the courses are equally good. Always try to join a better college, so that you will have opportunity to learn not just from faculty but also from seniors, classmates. Joining a average college will ruin your campus placement opportunity. Try to devote more time preparing for CAT exam.

Ms or Mtech

Name: sneha

Q: after completing b.e computers which should i prefer MS or M.Tech?which has more value?

A: Think about your priorities, your current financial position, your liking & interest for the subjects - and then make a decision.

If you get top institute in USA then go for MS, also keep in mind current recession and tech job loss.
