Can my field benefit the field of merchant navy
I am doing instrumentation engineering, so i would like to know can my field benefit the field of merchant navy n what all is the scope for this filed....
The marine engineers are responsible for the maintenance and safe operation of all machinery and safe operation of all machinery on board ship. Most importantly, this means the ship's engine, butalso power generation, electrics, instrumentation, air conditioning, plumbing and cargo-handling systems.
Due to the increasing use of sophisticated electronic equipment and computers, the duties of engine-room personnel continue to become more complex. Knowledge of the machinery, computerised systems, good written and oral communication skills, and the ability to effectively monitor, inspect and maintain machinery are necessary.
